A RECAP OF THE CULTURAL REVOLUTION OF CHINA

Chairman Mao Zedong's Five-Year Plan and Great Leap Forward were economic and social failures, causing massive starvation; it is estimated that between 22-55 million died. Rightly, Mao was removed from national leadership, although he still led the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). However, he was getting older and coveted a way to regain power. Therefore, in 1966, he instigated a rebellion against the political administration, claiming there were "bourgeoisie" inside the government. Bourgeoisie was code word for foreign capitalist or capitalist sympathizer. 

Mao mobilized the youth through the CCP (just like George Soros does through certain political parties) to challenge the establishment and purge capitalist "influencers or sympathizers" of the state or those who "exploited the lower classes" (like landlords or anyone wealthy). The youth, or students, were perfect pawns because Mao knew they were impressionable (which means they knew nothing and would believe anything) and that if he did not "remold" them first, then the enemy could just as well have influenced them. 

These youth were called the Red Guards, and the state police were instructed to protect them while they entered private homes and terrorized anyone whom they believed did not comply with the CCP. (Sadly, young people tend to be more than eager to lash out because their hearts are ripe with rebellion.) 

The Red Guards evicted families, ransacked homes, and confiscated personal belongings (which is another name for theft). They made examples of people through public humiliation, beat some to death, and caused others to commit suicide out of shame. Even beloved teachers and principals were targeted. Schools were closed and 16 million young people were sent to the country to do hard labor and be reeducated to remove old ideas. Churches and other symbols of Chinese heritage were destroyed and Imperial history was rewritten and replaced with Mao-centered history. (How dull!)

This sad period, the Cultural Revolution, continued for ten years, until Mao's death in 1976. Besides enabling Mao to squeeze his way back into power, another object of the Cultural Revolution was to destroy culture reminiscent of pre-communist China. It was a rebellion against the Four Olds: old ideas, old culture, old customs, and old habits or traditions. What these "Olds" represented was vague; therefore, Red Guards were permitted to roam the streets terrorizing others at their own whim. By the end of the Cultural Revolution, it is estimated that 8 million more Chinese were dead. 

ABOUT RED SCARF GIRL, JI-LI JIANG

Red Scarf Girl takes place during the beginning of the Cultural Revolution. Ji-Li Jiang was 12-years old, in 1966, and had a promising future ahead of her. She was bright and well-liked by her teachers and peers. She loved her family, especially her grandma who lived with them, and their housekeeper, who was like a family member.

Ji-Li was excited to do the work Chairman Mao was influencing young people to do -- to root out the Four Olds. She was "certain that [she and her peers] were bringing a new life to China." She "felt [she] was already a Liberation Army soldier who was ready to go out for battle."

But life in China was quickly changing, and it was going to get worse. Ji-Li learned that her family was considered a "black family" because they employed a housekeeper, which was exploitive, and her grandfather had been a landlord while he had been alive. They were labeled capitalist. 

Change was so frequent that Ji-Li lived in continuous fear and apprehension.

One day, Ji-Li's father was detained for three months, accused of listening to foreign radio. He was a man of integrity and would never confess to something that was not true. The entire family was targeted and publicly shamed as a "big landlord family." Ji-Li was angry that fate caused her to be born into this family. She thought she could distance herself and overcome her background, through communist activities and hard labor, but she could not wash the stain away, no matter what she did. 

Instead, she learned something about herself. During her father's detainment, Ji-Li was pressured to disown her parents. But she would not. She learned that all of her actions had proven to herself that she would always be loyal to her family first, even over her political ambitions. 

My family was too precious to forget, and too rare to replace.

Once my life had been defined by my goals: to be a da-dui-zhang, to participate in the exhibition, to be a Red Guard. They seemed unimportant to me now. Now my life was defined by my responsibilities. I had promised to take care of my family, and I would renew that promise every day. I could not give up or withdraw, no matter how hard life became. 

MY FINAL THOUGHTS

If you are like me and did not know anything about the Cultural Revolution (CR), this is an exceptional primary source, easy to digest, and eye-opening. I was dumbfounded by what Ji-Li and her family had lived through. I already know communist totalitarians are horrible people when they get hold of absolute power, but this takes it to a new level. Ji-Li witnessed horror and lived through terror, and her family status held her and her siblings back until after the CR was over. 

In her Epilogue, she admitted that they were all brainwashed. "Mao was a god. He controlled everything..." She said that after his death in 1976, people woke up. The CR was "a power struggle at the highest levels of the Party." Mao took advantage of the people's trust "to manipulate the whole country." Ji-Li said that "the most frightening lesson of the CR: Without a sound legal system, a small group or even a single person can take control of an entire country. This is as true now as it was then." 

I would add that in the United States, if it were not for our Constitution, we would be further along in the abyss than we already are. I mean, we are getting there, but it is a challenge because of our Founding Document, which some would like to burn because it is an obstacle to absolute power. Everything is a power struggle. It is always about greedy power.

Orwell knew. 

He knew what the future would look like if good people did nothing.

I have re-read 1984 numerous times and always understood it to be a dystopian novel, which it is, considering it is "an imaginary place or condition in which everything is as bad as possible." But it is not only a dystopian novel. It is A WARNING! An urgent premonition to future generations of free people everywhere, but particularly Britain and the United States because each nation [had been] protectors and promoters of individual liberty and economic freedom. 

Orwell saw first-hand what happened (during WWII) when masses of people worshipped a man, granting absolute power to him, or in the case of 1984, one "Party." When that happens, that leader or party gets away with everything. They use dictatorial methods to control every aspect of private life, and they destroy everything in their path that threatens or challenges or exposes their schemes and lies -- especially the truth. 

TOTALITARIANISM

This is called totalitarianism, and this is what I want to write about, as opposed to just reviewing 1984 again. Totalitarianism is nearer to us because the masses have not heeded Orwell's warning. In fact, many are clamoring for its acceleration. 

Totalitarianism is centralized government bent on absolute authority over everything. Imagine everything. Now imagine government with total control of it. They get control by agitating all logic and reason, causing people to doubt what is right and true. Totalitarianism continuously assails the masses with contradictions and hypocrisy and prompts people to question their sanity. It is psychological abuse, bullying, and supremacy. One by one, the people break.

I will return to that rant, but first: 

In 1984, the world was divided into three regions, which were always at war with each other, although it could never be confirmed. It could have been that the Party bombed their own people just to keep them in perpetual fear and submission. 

All people lived in a three-level caste system made up of mostly Proles, the general population of workers who lived in a state of poverty. Then Outer Party members, like the protagonist Winston, had it slightly better than the Proles. They were trained in the dirty work of government, such as demolishing the truth, rewriting history, reinventing language, and extinguishing individual lives. 

Finally, the Inner Party members were the smallest class of government elitists who drank the Kool Aid. They implemented policy and controlled the lives of everyone else. Only the Inner Party enjoyed privacy and luxuries. The Party was supposedly led by one named Big Brother, but no one knew if he was alive or real or one or many. 

WHAT IS THE POINT OF ALL THIS CLAMOR FOR CONTROL?

The point was POWER. Power is alluring. Power is everything.

When Winston was finally arrested for having revolutionary thoughts and tortured into loving the Party, O'Brien, Inner Party member, told him:

When we [the Party] are omnipotent we shall have no more need of science. There will be no distinction between beauty and ugliness. There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. but always - do not forget this, Winston - always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever. 

The goal of totalitarianism is to break another man down by removing all prospective joy, hope, love, beauty, and power -- no more personal privacy or potential improvement; no more independence or individuality. Aside from causing him to think he has lost his mind...he must give up all reason to fight to protect truth and his own life. Once he is broken down, he will fearfully submit to this power. For some it is easier and quicker than others.

I mention this because I want to show that we have lived through the start of the above scenario already - a likely test run. The Covid scam was a test run in totalitarianism. I was in California at the time, and even as late as early 2022, the governor was still playing the Mask-On-Mask-Off game, dictating when everyone had to mask up because cases rose or when masks were no longer necessary because cases went down. Governor Gavin Newsom is a prime suspect for totalitarianism, and if the people oblige, he will go as far as he can if no one will stop him. Thank God, there were a few legislators, a church, and a court that did stop his overreach. For now.

TWENTY TWENTY

Look what the media did in the United States. They spread lies, suppressed truth, and protected only the voices they agreed with. They helped instill fear, which is a catalyst for mass compliance to a corrupt  government, or otherwise: "man worship." And it wasn't President Trump the masses worshiped. It was that short little Anthony Fauci who was the epitome of parched power, but mostly teeming with hypocrisy and contradictions. 

I also say "they" because I do not count myself as part of the majority that lived in absolute terror of the virus, yet, still donned a mask and mingled with crowds of people, as if material protected them just because they were told it would; or those who knew the mask was foolishness, but complied anyway with fear of standing alone in truth. And the little colored circles that littered the floors of stores and windows reminding us that we were in kindergarten and had to stand six feet, which was also an arbitrary measurement. Did anyone believe that they were safe from a deadly virus if they stood six feet away from another human? 

When this current so-called executive was installed, he wickedly sought a legal way to FORCE EVERY HUMAN WHO WORKED FOR A PAYCHECK TO BE POISONED simply because he believed he could do it, but no way was found. Praise God! 

Then all those lies about masks, lockdowns, isolation, closed schools (for years in California), lost jobs, firings, and forced injections against one's better judgment came home to roost, and all of those liars had to admit (but did not) that you could still get sick; only the injected were getting sick; and in fact, they are getting sicker. Many had even died. Isolation was not a bright idea; masks did not work; and we have to admit, they disrupted a robust economy (it is still struggling), probably intentionally. 

You see, a crisis "arose" and totalitarian-bent authorities and their supporters reacted accordingly by establishing fear, then provided a sense of hope and salvation through obedience without investigation, which the people responded to subordinately. Never mind that the facts changed daily and the "guidelines" were like a roller coaster. There never was consistency, but always contradiction. Nothing made sense, and everyone was confused, anxious, and combative, which was the perfect atmosphere for totalitarian government to lay its tentacles. 

By the way, I am thinking about little dictator governors of select states, and also unelected officials, health officials, and globalists, besides this current federal administration. President Trump did not continue to push for lockdowns or masks or keeping kids out of school or closing churches. He did, however, give into dreadful advice about pushing through a deadly pharmaceutical poison, but he never supported forcing anyone to be injected with it or be fired, like the  current mean executive, whose name I cannot utter. 

Remember the psychological warfare that abounded and was encouraged and protected? Doctors, scientists, or anyone who shouted otherwise against the ever-changing/concrete science-god Fauci were muted and booted. Thousands of doctors, immunologists, virologists, and anyone who contradicted the narrative lost their voices and simply disappeared from public view. Some lost their jobs and businesses. Even certain information was not searchable via the internet. 

Remember the faux checkers -- modern day Thought Police -- who flagged, docked, and ostracized anyone who posted the wrong articles or voiced the wrong opinion? Eventually, some lost their accounts and were unable to participate in further discussion. Free speech was dead; only the right ideas that aligned with the ones in power were permitted. Did that not mold you to think before you posted? It sure did. You were molded to keep quiet because your opinion was labeled dangerous.

After a few years of this, people no longer knew how to think, and they no longer trusted themselves. Since objective truth is unacceptable, people need government to tell them what to think. And people will believe anything, even absurd things like drag queen story time for children is good; all white people are racist; there are more than two genders; five year olds can choose their gender; and a man is a woman if he says so. BELIEVE ALL MEN! And much more absurdity. If these are what the political class, media, entertainment, and elites pretend to be truth, then it is virtuous to LIVE BY LIES, as Rod Dreher taught us.

In a totalitarian state, thoughts are owned and operated by the powerful, and all people who participate are deprived of liberty, privacy, and identity. Likely they will never rise up, form a personal opinion, or be creative again. They are all dead. 

WHAT WE CAN DO

In 1984, Winston knew the Proles (who made up 80-85% of the population in Oceania) were capable of overthrowing the Party if only they rose up against it. All that it takes to tear down a totalitarian regime is to reject the lies and not participate. Orwell wrote 1984, as I have said, as a warning, to trigger as many people to act against totalitarianism; to turn away from the lies and push back at the statist cult.

He recognized the importance of being critical of leaders or government (even those you support), in order to "work towards what could be better," instead of accepting everything they said and did as right and true. He believed that if we did not continue to expose the lies, then we were cooperating with totalitarianism, allowing it to expand and increase in power. 

But let us have cheer because there is hope still. Orwell meant to bring to our attention the responsibility and urgency we have to hold accountable those in authority and check their power while we still can. Humanity is not hapless if we are willing to act.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Nineteen Eighty-Four is an essential work on my personal canon because it speaks directly to me. I love personal liberty and freedom so much, and to live under the weight of an oppressive, totalitarian government is a nightmare. I would rather die, though I am sure that is not a biblical attitude to have. I am trying my best to suffer through the burdens of this world while I await my real home.

Both sides of the American political spectrum, including the electorate, accuse the other side of ushering in a 1984-world; but if either side were truly opposed to that nightmare becoming reality, then we should witness both working tirelessly and loudly to defend and guard constitutionally-protected life and liberty, speech, privacy, religion, and especially truth. Are you seeing any of that? 

It's questionable.

Book Bloggers: Do you believe what you write to be true? Then don't delete comments that challenge you. (And I mean that encouragingly.)

The other day I read a blog post written by a book blogger regarding one of my favorite dystopian novels, and the writer said something that prompted me to comment. There is no reason to quote what was said or name the blog because they are not important. The reason for my writing is to point out something that I find too common and very disappointing, though very telling about our culture and society. 

QUESTION

If someone disagreed with you or dared to own a different viewpoint than yourself, and that person civilly and well meaningly commented on your blog in reference to a statement or opinion you made about a book, why on earth would you delete the comment? And furthermore, why would you NOT respond to the one who engaged you? 

You keep a blog publicly because you want to share your opinions and thoughts, I assume. You want to connect and make conversation with others who also read and are interested in books -- maybe even the same books. But do you only invite others who agree with you to read and comment? At least make that clear ahead of time that you do not appreciate or tolerate different opinions or opposition, and that those comments will be deleted. 

I know of one blogger who informed and threatened readers within the post that they would delete comments by anyone who mentioned this particular individual by name. And of course I commented that I didn't care if they deleted my comment because I still felt compelled to share my opinion. Granted, I brought that on myself because I was forewarned. But my goodness, how protective and defensive we have become as a society.

While it has only happened a few times that I have been deleted because a blogger disliked my comment, the sad truth is that I know of more times when I said, "Just forget it!" and decided against commenting altogether because I suspected it would not go over well if I said what I thought or even asked a question to better understand why someone thinks the way that they do. 

I do not want to start a confrontation, which is why I take time to carefully word my thoughts and am always civil and kind. I am more surprised that a blogger would delete a civil comment. Why not dialogue about what you believe; make your case, and win me over. Why not make use of your platform and promote your ideas further with someone who is engaging you? Why do they always have to agree with you?

ONE CONCERN

This is part of what is troubling to me: that today people are less likely to debate, dialogue, and have civil discord about their opposing opinions, worldview, and differences. They are more likely to immediately censor, cancel, and delete your comment.

Some irony: this particular blogger had read and blogged about my other favorite dystopian novels by Orwell, in which I totally disagreed with [their] synopsis, but I restrained myself. The blogger did not see the irony in [their] own behavior, to delete my little comment, to shut out a different viewpoint, and yet to be equally incensed by the tyranny and totalitarianism demonstrated in the books [they] just reviewed. Yikes!

I once had a very civil conversation with someone who completely disagreed with me on my religious opinion within a post I had published on my blog, and he began with a very hostile tone. Nonetheless, I knew that to engage him kindly would win him over. We had a discussion, and when it ended, he was much calmer, and I was able to get him to see some truth in what I had said; he didn't change his mind, but his mind opened more. 

There was another blogger who always shared her opinions with me, of which I am so grateful. She was engaging and inspiring. She once apologized for soapboxing on my blog, explaining that it was my personal blog and she had no businesses being so opinionated toward my writing; and all I could think was: this is why I write publicly. I invite conversation with those who agree or not. If I wanted to protect and shelter my opinionated ego, I would have kept my blog private. 

ANOTHER CONCERN

And here is the other part of my concern: you cannot argue for the protection of democracy -- a rule of the majority -- and then demand that the majority obey the minority; and you cannot cling to democracy if you are going to chop off the fingers of those who do not think the same thoughts or speak the same words as the minority. Democracy, if we must, is rule of the majority, and under American Democracy, particularly, we provide for protection of the minority. To provide for the protection of the minority, we must have, protect, and defend free speech. MUST! Speech must be protected because there will be different opinions and ideas, and they should be open to debate, acceptance, or rejection.  

Now, of course, you are not forced to listen to one's opposing view or opinion if you disagree and do not want to hear. You are not even forced to defend your own ideas. But how can you not defend your views or worldview, especially if you demand others think, speak, tolerate, accept, and obey your opinion??? If you cannot stand to have a civil discussion - even about democracy and especially truth - then you are demonstrating weakness, and your worldview is equally weak. You show that you cannot stand up for what you believe in. You have no argument. It's not a good look. 

If you have a blog -- any kind of blog -- and you write your opinions publicly for all to read, then you should be steadfast in what you write as true and solid. If you are challenged because a reader comments against your judgment, and you do not want to defend your words, then maybe you do not know what you are talking about. Maybe you don't even believe it to be true yourself. That is ultimately what you convey to others when you refuse to respond to someone's questions about what you wrote or to answer for your opinions. And when you delete civil comments altogether, well, then obviously you have absolutely nothing to offer. 

Books are a great opportunity to talk about the ideas we hold true, and a civil and engaging discussion is the best way to exercise those ideas, to see if we agree, or maybe to even change our mind. The free exchange of ideas is liberating and freeing. If the best retort you have is to hit the delete button on your keyboard, then I am very sorry for you.

If you figured things out a long time ago, then great! But for those only now questioning the truth, good; this is a book to start with if you want to know more. 

Covid Operation is cohesively organized, sensibly written, and well documented with supporting evidence at the end of each chapter. The title and subtitle tell you exactly what to expect. It is a quick, easy read about the origins, the players, the purposes, the consequences, and the possibilities beyond. In addition, personal stories (often heart breaking) are included in the "Consequences" chapter. 

Covid Operation was written and released in August 2020. Popper suspected early on that the numbers of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths did not justify lockdowns, restrictions, or masks, and she spoke out about it immediately. I cannot remember  how I discovered Pam's show, but it was early 2020. I found her short videos on YouTube regarding the universal response to the virus. She talked about how none of it made sense: the obsession with cases, the inconsistent lockdowns for small businesses but not big businesses, the science that did not support masks, the hypocritical governors turned emperors, the encouraged violent riots in the summer while restrictions for sports and other outdoor activities remained, and many other contradictions addressed in Covid Operation. 

On her channel, she highlighted the consequences of the lockdowns, school shutdowns, job losses, and business closures. People began writing letters to her, sharing their heartbreak and frustrations, including suicides of loved ones, and Pam read those stories on her show. 

Pam even discussed how she lost friends and colleagues whom she had worked with for years on issues of health and healthy living and eating, because they did not agree with her questioning government, the health departments, CDC, WHO, lockdowns, masks, and the like. They could no longer support her because of her position on the state of things, though she came to accept it because she made new friends and encouraged others in her position to make new friends with people who shared similar ideas. 

And even better...very, VERY early on, Pam mobilized people. Talk about being pro active: she formed groups and encouraged people to do in their communities what she was doing. (See Make Americans Free Again.) She wanted people to connect locally and help each other - doctors, teachers, nurses, farmers, ranchers, construction workers, mothers, fathers, church members, and anyone who knew how to do anything at all - converge and work together, form local systems and serve one another. 

I love Pam's spirit and perseverance. She is a leader and a stateswoman. She loves liberty and self-government, not power and control. She expects Americans to be responsible grownups. Pam pointed out daily that Americans were cowering in fear under the lies of little egomaniacs like Anthony Fauci and the threats of tyrannical governors and their unelected health officers. She basically encouraged her viewers to just ignore them and get on with life. 

I totally agreed with her because in my environment that was my personal experience and observation. Nothing made sense, and I could not stand living in a world where nothing made sense. It was maddening! 

I think it would be great if she did a follow up for 2021 - the year of the jab - because I believe the story behind the jab and the psychology implemented to make people comply is just as dangerous to American liberties and survival. But I sense that Popper has moved on, and she wants us to do the same. Ignore these liars and thieves. 

That is exactly how I have always felt about this entire mess. Is there a new virus? You bet.  Was it manufactured? Definitely. Did people die from it? Yes. But the numbers were inflated to create fear and hysteria so that everyone would comply with the draconian instructions. Everything was done differently than typical epidemics of years past because now there is a global concerted purpose and effort to prepare the world for new mandatory vaccinations, mass surveillance and control, digital currencies, and to usher in a global elite-controlled corporatist/technocratic government. Don't take my word for it; read Klown Schwab's own words: Covid 19: The Great Reset. (That's just my review, but I mean for you to read it and hear it from the elite's own mouth.)

I knew it was all a BIG/FAT lie because of the inconsistency of those whom the media propped up, like Fauci. That man was all over the place about masks, the spread of the virus, and later the jab. It was apparent to me that he did not know the truth about anything. He was basically making things up as he rolled along. I knew he was a fraud even before I read The Real Anthony Fauci. (Again, my review, but read the book yourself to get a history of the man.)

There are so many other warriors out there armed with the truth. Some of us cannot be scammed, and we don't want anyone else to be fooled. If you are done with the lies, Covid Operation is one of many sources; and here are some others:

The Great Barrington Declaration Three reputable doctors came together to point out the farce of lockdowns of healthy people and warned of the dangers very early on. It was a cry for sanity, but the world has not listened. 

Dr. Malone One of the many doctors who has given up his peace and quiet to stop the medical tyranny. He reminds me of a Modern Day George Washington. 

Dark Horse Podcast clips  Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying: an example of what free speech looks like when adults come together and logically pull apart issues to get to the truth. It's called critical thinking. 

Children's Health Defense  Robert Kennedy Jr.'s organization that has worked hard to spread truth about health -- healthy eating and living and environments -- trying to educate the world on the dangers of drugging and vaccinating our kids for every little illness. 

Man In America on YouTube, Rumble, etc. Soft spoken, always positive voice on being self sufficient, independent, pro active, realistic, and prepared for what is inevitable. 

The Truth About Covid by Dr. Mercola

There is so much more out there. This is only a sample of people I found in the early days and listened to what they were saying, and of course, remained in tuned only because they were saying what I was already thinking. 

One more thing: this is not an insult to people who lost love ones because of the virus. I know people who died, too. I also know a lot of people who got sick, including my husband and me, our kids, and our entire church family. We never made such a fuss about the flu, but here we are permitting our state and federal government to trample our Constitution in the name of health.

This post addresses the lies (overreaching and unconstitutional response) from our government (and the media). It is about losing our right to be in control of our lives and the sovereignty of our nation. That is why it is imperative that Americans stop complying, stop obeying the lies, and resist NOW. The lockdowns and mandates and school closures and rollercoaster ride has not ended. It is in a lull, but it will not go away unless we say NO MORE. It is a battle of the wills. I read Covid-19: The Great Reset earlier this year, but I have to add it to my blog because it demonstrates why I hate tyranny. This essay is a warning and a wake up call; and all who love freedom and all who still use reason and can think for themselves must read it.

Granted, it is difficult to ingest, but not for the reason you may think. I would place it at a 7th grade reading level. Even the economic jargon is juvenile. It is difficult because if you have red blood running through your veins, it should boil. This is the future, and we may not have much recourse.

Here is my overview: 

A small international elite group of wealthy globalists are preparing a utopian one world oligarch at the expense of human lives and livelihoods, and they do not want or need our input. They will be our new overlords, and we will comply or be cancelled. At present, they have control of all the international institutions that influence the nations' healthcare, banks, trade, money,  economies, and governments, and they have the blueprint to unite one government over all the people. All they need now is complete compliance of all governments and corporations, as well as the technology to begin total surveillance of every human being.

The authors of this essay tell readers that Covid will hardly leave a dent, but it was and is the catalyst they wanted or needed to begin the Great Reset. In other words, Covid, or coronavirus, HAS NOT disrupted society as claimed by the media. The Great Reset has been in the works for years, and yet they wrote this essay as if they had a year or more to observe the destruction of the scamdemic and investigate its real outcomes; but one can see right through that.

The real driving force behind the GR was to be and still is the environment, or climate change  crisis, and they have convinced many governments and corporations that it is the most dire issue, though there are other issues: social issues, worker protection plans, and control of human consumption.

For example, if businesses, companies, industries, or corporations are not WOKE enough or cannot demonstrate that they are compliant with the sustainable development goals that the global cabal sets, then those businesses will struggle and eventually be ostracized and fail. The global government will also scrutinize individual personal behaviors. If you don't change your bad habits, you, too, can and will struggle and be cancelled from society.

They want to micromanage your life and your health; limit what goods you may purchase and foods you may eat; determine where you live and prevent you from traveling far from home. You probably won't own a car or a house, as that will be reserved for the elite. And with technology, they want to observe everything you do and where you go, as well as track how you feel, what you think, and how you react to social issues or behave in society.

That's mental illness right there.

The global elite want to institute their own religious utopia. They hate God, the Creator, but they want to be God and god-like, and it is why they desire to read your heart and mind and to legislate morality, which they label: fairness, kindness, and equity. Forget any future dreams for you or your children because personal interests are self-centered, and may not be in the best interest of the whole; they want all to consider a "common good" approach to life.

They may give the impression that they care about people, especially the downtrodden, but do not be fooled. They don't genuinely give a crap about George Floyd or society's so-called victims. It's all a facade. If anything, these are the most racist, prejudiced, heartless, godless individuals pushing the GR.

One thing about tyrannical commie/socialists/fascists (they are all these things) is that they really suck when it comes to economics. At some point, they will run out of resources and other people's money after utterly destroying billions of lives and mismanaging the world. No one will be able to work except in a few preserved sectors like technology, healthcare, and synthetic food development. Everything will fail because man cannot micromanage billions of people (although controlling population is also part of the scheme) and their local communities and economies. Yet the establishment is so far removed from reality because they live in a fantasy elite world apart from reason and common sense.

There is a timeline for a full completion of the GR: 2030, though sooner, they desire, which is why they want the COVID FEAR & COMPLIANCE EXERCISE to LINGER for YEARS. Never let a good crisis go to waste!

The Great Reset is a wicked, evil, selfish, self-centered, vile idea, and I hope God has immediate plans for those involved because it is going to be almost impossible for us to stop them. The world's corrupt governments and corporations and industries are so entangled with these global institutions. They are literally handing over the reins to these godless elite. 

P.S. If you don't know Christ, He is not a tyrannical overlord, such as these men and women desire to be -- implementing their wicked science and technology on the people. God put Freedom on our hearts, which is why America was founded on liberty. The GR is the opposite of who God is, and it is why they desire to dissolve personal liberty and freedom forever. God gives us total freedom to be personally responsible with our own lives; we don't need man to legislate morality.

This was my WEM review originally published on 10.1.2013, on my old blog. I have read 1984 at least three times.

Grammar Stage: What is the most important event in which the main character changes?  

The main character, Winston Smith, changes at the end of the novel after he has been tortured for a long period. He is difficult to break, but when he faces his greatest fear, he snaps.  Winston is broken and accepts the Party's control over him.

Logic Stage: What does the main character want, what is standing in his way, and what does he do to get it?

Winston wants:
1. to know "...was life better before the Revolution than it is now?";
2. if people are still human enough - what would cause them to rise up against the Party;
3. to understand the motives of the Party - why they do what they do in order to control people.

The Party's control of every move, every word, and every thought prevent Winston from being able to easily seek these answers.

The only way he can overcome his obstacle is to join the Brotherhood, an organization fighting against the Party.  Winston connects with an Inner Party member, O'Brien, whom he believes is really with the Brotherhood but actually represents the Party; this ultimately leads to Winston's arrest, and only then he is able to get his answers about the past and the Party's motives, albeit, not promising.

Rhetoric Stage: What is the author trying to tell us?  Do I agree?

1. George Orwell wants the reader to be aware of the dangers of totalitarian power.  He envisioned and described a world only thirty or so years ahead (from 1949) under an oppressive and authoritarian government.  I agree because history demonstrates the truth about such regimes.

2. Orwell believed that these systems sought total control and power over the masses for the sake of power alone with no concern for man or his survival.  In other words, government does not care about man - only its own collective power; and yes, I agree.

3. Also, Orwell makes the case that if man has to choose between freedom and happiness, he rather think he has happiness.  Winston believes he knows that O'Brien will explain the Party's motive for power is because men are:

"...frail, cowardly creatures who could not endure liberty or face the truth, and must be ruled over and systematically deceived by others who were stronger than themselves."

Winston then tells O'Brien that the Party rules

"over us for our own good...that human beings are not fit to govern themselves..."  

O'Brien dismisses this answer, but I think Orwell knows government does believe this about the masses, too, - not that government has compassion for the people - but rather it is to their benefit to take advantage of the people. 

I agree because I believe overreaching government sees common man as ignorant, wrong, and incapable of caring for his needs and that of his family.  It is a good argument to grow government: convince man that he cannot take care of himself and that government will.  Hence, Man sees his freedom as too overwhelming and risky; therefore, he relinquishes it to government while being distracted by "entertainment."   

4. One final argument I believe Orwell makes is that while it takes a lot to break a man, at some level he has a breaking point. Governments may control man by restricting his liberties, removing his individuality, discouraging relationships and emotions for others (except those loyal to the Party), revising the truth, and controlling his private, personal thoughts.  But the last two areas of control are rather difficult.  So long as Winston is able to remember the truth and control his own thoughts, he knew he was freer than most.  As Winston states:

They (the Party) could lay bare in the utmost detail everything that you had done or said or thought; but the inner heart, whose workings were mysterious even to yourself, remained impregnable.

Yes, I totally agree because it is really difficult for anyone to read your mind and change or control your own thoughts.  Certain groups today with selfish agendas (I won't mention) are trying to change people's fundamental beliefs by bullying them; but deep down it irks them to the core that they cannot totally succeed because they cannot control the mind or heart of individuals. It just cannot happen that easily.
